Oh What A Night! Late February....

From my Friends & Angels...
You are so special to me!

From my Gym Angels
A dumbell, pink ribbon, and a heart
You are all so awesome, thank you!

From my beautiful sister Jackie
I will say this every morning when
I wake up!
I love you!

What a fantastic evening spent with friends!  So blessed I am to have so many wonderful people in my life that have all touched my heart in some way, along the way.  I had so much fun!  I'm definitely not used to partying that much, at least not since all the chemo began.

Going into Friday night I was pretty sick with a nasty cold, but I wasn't going to let anything stop me from celebrating and enjoying the evening!  I've been paying for it a bit since though, my cold is worsening...ugh!  Hence why I'm up at 5 am writing this blog.  Can't sleep, chest hurts, hurts to breathe.  Still all worth it!

Thank you to everyone who made it out Friday night!  It was absolutely wonderful to see you all!  And to find out that many of you have been following my blog daily, and how it has touched you was truly moving to hear.  And the gifts, wow!  Some of you really wanted to make me cry!  Thank you so much for all your thoughtfulness, it's heartwarming.   I'm going to post my speech next, it will be long.  It's very important to me that those who were unable to make it know that they too have touched my heart, and made a difference in my journey and in my life.  I do also want to thank some people who made a difference when my journey began.  Even though you have either chosen to or cannot be here supporting me today, I do thank you for all that you were to me, and all that you did for myself and my family in the beginning.  I am so appreciative of that time you gave to me, thank you.

Next Chapter:  This morning I am scheduled for my radiation markings.  I'm getting tatted up!  (If only...)  I am going to Cancercare to get 3 permanent markings in and around the breast area where they will be doing my radiation.  These are tiny little markings, just little dots that look like moles in the end, however they are blue in colour, and I've never known a mole to be blue.  They will use these dots to align the radiation machine in order to get the exact area each time they radiate, all 25 times.  I will know today when radiation will begin, but I'm thinking that it will be Monday, April 4th.  I really haven't been thinking about the radiation much in the last while, as I've been slightly distracted, and you know how I haven't had the ability to concentrate on more than one thing at a time!  I'm sure after today though, the inevitable will happen, I will be forced to start thinking about it, and planning how I'm going to circumvent the side effects, of which really only include tiredness, and 3rd degree burns.

All for now.  Thank you my lovely friends, my Angels!  I'm so very lucky to have you in my life!

Love, Jill xo
