My Angel

She walks along beside me

She tugs at my hand

She hugs me tight

To help me understand

She promises no judgement

In times of despair

She hugs me tight

To help her understand

She sees what I cannot

And makes promises of hope

She hugs me tight

To help the world understand

She is my Angel

The Journey

She holds her head high,

her silver locks shine in the sun,

and she has come home.

My friend has been on a journey,

a journey arranged by God,

There were no sand beaches and no clear blue seas,

no shimmering palm trees and no musical treats.

The journey was a tough one,

full of uncertainties and unknown.

But every step of the way the

Master sent angels to guide her along.

There were "angels of mercy" to start with

and "angels of healing" came next.

Then the "angels of friendship" took over

to see that she stayed on the course.

The "angels of mercy" hovered round her and

the "angels of healing" stayed close.

But the "angels of friendship" took over

to see that she stayed on the course.

The journey has now been completed

and some angels returned to their homes.

But the "angels of friendship" remain at their posts,

to see that she stays on the course.
